This web presence [Blog: "January 12th, 1973"] was established for the sole purpose of providing search retrievable, factual information regarding the actions of then Officer Leonard Corsetti of the Wayne State University Police Department on January 12, 1973. The motivation being to counter a non-factual statement appearing on the internet (and possibly via other media) regarding Officer Corsetti's actions during an encounter with an armed suspect on that date.
Note that the only media interview given by Officer Corsetti regarding this incident was given to Michael Graham of the Detroit Free Press, in the office of the WSU Police Chief, immediately upon Officer Corsetti's return from Detroit Police Department Headquarters.
